On 11 September, the (RE)CREAT por la Vida charity run in Teguise

On 11 September at 19:30 the municipality of Teguise holds the Carrera Solidaria (RE)CREAT por la Vida 2026.
It's a charity race, the kind nobody wins: you take part. The evening start isn't a flourish — in September on Lanzarote the sun is low by half seven and the temperature finally reasonable, and it's the only way to get families, kids and people who don't normally run out running together.
It belongs to the council's (RE)CREAT programme, the same banner under which Teguise runs its citizen-participation activities all summer.
Teguise in September is a different thing from Teguise in August: the old capital empties of tour coaches and goes back to being a village of stone and lime, with its shaded squares. Worth arriving early and staying on.
