Yaiza student transport grants: provisional list out, appeals until 4 September

The Ayuntamiento de Yaiza has published the notice containing the provisional list of accepted and excluded applicants for its specific call for student transport grants for the 2025-2026 academic year. The list can be consulted on the municipal notice board and on the town hall website, www.yaiza.es.

Once the provisional list is published, applicants have ten (10) working days, counted from the day after the notice appears, to submit any objections they consider appropriate. In practical terms, submissions are accepted from Monday 24 August to Friday 4 September 2026.

The procedure follows the rules governing the call, published in the Boletin Oficial de la Provincia de Las Palmas number 58 of 15 May 2026. Those rules set both the length of the objection period and the steps leading to the final decision.

The key point is that the list is provisional. Appearing among the excluded applicants at this stage does not necessarily mean the grant is lost: exclusions frequently come down to missing or incomplete paperwork, which is exactly what the objection window is designed to fix.

What to check before filing an objection

The first step is to identify the exact reason for exclusion as stated in the list, since the objection should address that specific point rather than restate the original application. Keeping a copy of the form originally submitted, along with a record of the documents already handed in, makes it easier to supply only what is genuinely missing. The deadline falls on Friday 4 September, right as administrative activity picks up again after the summer, so filing in the first days of the window rather than on the final morning is the safer approach for families relying on the grant.
