Two weeks of festivities in Puerto del Carmen close without an incident

Tías town hall has closed the La Tiñosa festivities in honour of the Virgen Nuestra Señora del Carmen with a positive assessment: two weeks of mass participation and no incidents recorded.
Mayor José Juan Cruz highlighted the good atmosphere across the events, among residents and visitors alike.
Why it matters
Patron saint festivals are when a town takes its own measure: how many people come out, how they behave, whether services hold up. A two-week run at those numbers with no incidents is not a given.
La Tiñosa is the historic name of Puerto del Carmen, and it is still what people use when talking about the old part of the harbour.
