Three municipalities mark Youth Day together: Famara, Playa Chica and San Bartolomé

On 12 August three municipalities marked International Youth Day in parallel, each with a different formula and all free to attend.
In Teguise, the socio-cultural centre at La Caleta de Famara ran from 10am to 8pm with sports, creative workshops, video games, board games and an escape room, open to young people from across the island.
Tías and San Bartolomé
In Tías the event was at Playa Chica, Puerto del Carmen, with water and sports activities; it had been postponed earlier because of the weather forecast. Councillor Pepa González stressed the importance of creating places to meet.
In San Bartolomé the Parque Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente hosted six hours of music, from 7pm to 1am, with DJ Diego Díaz, DJ Wiba and DJ Óscar Fermín, as part of the Fiestas Patronales 2026 programme.
