Leo Minax and German Kucich play El Almacen, Arrecife, on 4 September

On Friday 4 September at 20:00, El Almacen in Arrecife hosts Brazilian singer, songwriter and guitarist Leo Minax together with Argentine pianist German Kucich. The concert is part of the Tensamba Festival programme and sets out an acoustic meeting point between Brazilian song and jazz.

The pairing is not a one-off. Minax and Kucich have played together for years, and the set draws on that shared history. In Arrecife they will preview several songs from Almoco de Domingo, their second album as a duo.

The programme gives equal weight to Minax's own compositions and to Kucich's long relationship with Brazilian music. Both men appear as performers and as writers, in a stripped-back format where piano, guitar and voices carry the whole evening.

The concert runs for roughly 80 minutes and is open to all ages. Tickets cost 10 euros and are sold through the Cultura Lanzarote ticketing platform.

El Almacen sits in the centre of the island's capital and works as a concert hall, cinema and exhibition space within the Cabildo de Lanzarote's cultural network. Capacity is modest, so booking online ahead of the date is safer than turning up at the door.
