Lidia con Ello play Costa Teguise on Saturday 12 September at 8.30pm, at the Calle Las Olas roundabout. It is a free open-air live concert, put on by Teguise council with Teguise Turismo.

The group is a five-piece. The name — Spanish for something close to "deal with it" — already tells you the tone: not a band that takes itself too seriously.

The setting matters as much as the music. The Calle Las Olas roundabout is an open space inside Costa Teguise, a step from the sea: you turn up, stand where you like and listen. It is the kind of evening that works better here in summer than any indoor venue.

Getting there

Costa Teguise is ten minutes from Arrecife and a quarter of an hour from the airport. The Calle Las Olas roundabout is inside the resort: park in the surrounding streets, and on a Saturday night it is worth arriving a little early.
