Teguise resurfaces Teseguite: the roads plan moves village by village, on municipal funds

Teguise council is continuing its road resurfacing plan across the north and east of the municipality: after Tao, Mozaga, Tahíche and Los Cocoteros, the work has reached Teseguite.

The detail that matters is how it is paid for: the project is financed entirely from the council's own funds, not external grants. Mayor Olivia Duque stresses that work is progressing through every village in turn.

It is not showy news, but in the inland villages it is the kind you notice daily: resurfaced streets mean fewer potholes, less damage to cars and safer driving on roads that often have no pavement.

Where work is under way

Current work covers Teseguite and follows on from what was done in Los Cocoteros. The plan continues through the municipality's other villages.
