Caminamos con el Cáncer, Sunday 18 October in Arrecife: ten editions and 25 years of AFOL

Caminamos con el Cáncer, the charity walk for cancer patients and their families, returns to Arrecife, organised by the town hall and AFOL, the Lanzarote association of families affected by blood cancers. It takes place on Sunday 18 October at the Recinto Ferial.

A double anniversary

This is the tenth edition: ten years of touring the island's towns and turning every step into a gesture of support. It coincides with AFOL's 25th anniversary, a quarter-century spent building a support network for people facing blood cancer and those beside them. To mark it, the association is starting over: a second lap of the island, municipality by municipality.

How it works

The route is under 5 km, designed so that anyone of any age can take part. Meet and collect the last T-shirts at 9:15am, manifesto reading at 10:15am, then the walk sets off. Start and finish at Arrecife's Recinto Ferial.
