Four hours of cinema with Anna Saura in Arrecife tomorrow: free entry, but places run out

A film masterclass with Anna Saura, free, on a weekday afternoon in Arrecife: the kind of chance an island gets rarely. It is tomorrow, Wednesday 7 October, from 5pm to 9pm, at the Casa de la Cultura.
What it covers
The creative keys of audiovisual work and the different stages that take a film from idea to screen. Four hours is enough to get into the substance, not merely to make polite conversation.
Where it comes from
The initiative is part of 'Más que Barrios', the project devised by the singer-songwriter Rosana to bring training and creativity into the neighbourhoods. It is funded by the Canary Islands Government, with the backing of the Chamber of Commerce and the collaboration of Cultura Arrecife.
Culture councillor Abigail González says that bringing in first-rate training 'is hugely inspiring'. That is the point of the project: letting young people find out that certain paths exist, rather than leaving them to discover it by chance, or never.
Practical details
Wednesday 7 October, 5pm to 9pm, Casa de la Cultura, Arrecife. Free entry.
Places are limited and this is exactly the sort of thing that fills up: get there early.
