'Memorias de un Grillo Blanco' closes with a large mural in Punta Mujeres

The Cabildo of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, through the Lanzarote and Chinijo Archipelago UNESCO Global Geopark, has closed the first edition of the Memorias de un Grillo Blanco festival.
It took place in Punta Mujeres, the coastal village in Haría, and signed off by leaving a large mural in its streets.
What the village keeps
The legacy is physical: the painted work stays there, in plain view of anyone passing, becoming part of the village instead of ending up in a catalogue.
It is the same logic as the Desidia Festival in Argana Baja: take contemporary art to where people live, not to where they go specially to see it.
