The Opera Festival brings 'La verbena de la Paloma' to Tías on 19 September

The Lanzarote Opera Festival 2026 resumes on 19 September with La verbena de la Paloma, one of the most recognisable titles in Spanish zarzuela, at the Teatro Municipal in Tías.
It is staged by the Compañía de Zarzuela del Atlántico, starting at 7pm.
Who is behind it
The festival is a joint effort between the Cabildo of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, through its Culture department, and the Fundación Nino Díaz. The stated aim is to give opera a permanent fixture on the island rather than an occasional appearance.
