Adults can finish secondary school in Máguez: enrolment is open

At the Escuelas de Abajo de Máguez, on Calle Era de Los Llanos, the CEPA Titerroygatra runs an adult classroom where you can obtain the Graduado en Educación Secundaria, Spain's secondary school certificate. Enrolment for 2026-2027 is open.

Teaching is public and free. The timetable is built for people who work: Monday to Thursday, 4pm to 9pm. You study at your own pace, in a small group — which, for anyone returning to a classroom after years away, is the difference between trying and giving up.

Holding the secondary certificate is not a bureaucratic detail: it is needed for vocational courses, for many public-sector competitions and for a good share of jobs. In the inland villages, where getting one would mean driving down to Arrecife every evening, a classroom in the village changes things.
