Borges, Lola Suárez and Unamuno: three literary evenings in Arrecife, 9 to 11 September
The Lanzarote Academy of Sciences, Engineering and Humanities holds its sixth Autumn Literary Days this week: three sessions, three evenings, all at 7pm at the Hotel Lancelot Playa in Arrecife.
It opens on Wednesday 9 with Jorge Luis Borges, in the year marking forty years since his death in Geneva. The session is led by María Dolores Fajardo Espino, a full member of the academy.
Thursday 10 belongs to Lola Suárez, the Canarian writer honoured on the Day of Canarian Women Writers. It closes on Friday 11 with a lecture on Miguel de Unamuno, ninety years after his death.
