Playa Honda's fiestas, 18 to 27 September: Burger Fest, verbenas and the Parrandehonda

From 18 to 27 September Playa Honda celebrates its fiestas: ten days of music, sport, tradition and family activities organised by San Bartolomé town hall.

The programme

It opens on Friday 18 with the Burger Fest in the Parque Urbano, children's activities and a verbena in the Carpa Princesa Ico. The first weekend also has the veterans' football tournament and Latin dance workshops.

During the week: foam party, youth gymkhana, water inflatables, a tasting of local wines and produce, theatre, tournaments of the Canarian card games envite, ronda and chinchón, and an afternoon for older residents with Los Jarvac. Some inclusive activities require registration.

The big night is Friday 25: a concert by Ciro y Pancho Corujo with local produce tasting, followed by the Parrandehonda with Son del Norte, Pal Porrón and Gurfines.

"We want Playa Honda to live these days with joy, participation and the sense of belonging that gives it its own identity," says mayor Isidro Pérez.
