The Cabildo is hiring: 31 permanent posts, applications open since yesterday

The Cabildo of Lanzarote and La Graciosa has opened applications for 31 permanent posts. The window opened on Thursday 24 September, after publication in the State Official Gazette, and runs for twenty working days.

The posts

Eight separate competitions: 5 industrial engineers, 3 technical architects, 4 administrative management officers, 2 biologists, 1 assistant photography technician, 4 assistant IT technicians, 1 doctor and 11 care workers.

Nineteen are career civil service posts, twelve permanent staff contracts. All belong to the 2025 public employment offer.

Why it matters

On an island where much of the work is seasonal and tied to tourism, thirty-one permanent public jobs are not routine paperwork: they are thirty-one households that stop doing sums in November. Cabildo president Oswaldo Betancort speaks of reinforcing essential services "in technical, administrative and care areas"; human resources councillor Miguel Ángel Jiménez urges people to read the rules and not miss the deadline.
