October in Yaiza: candles, soap-making, theatre, the Rosario at Femés and the La Pardela fiestas

Yaiza town hall has published its cultural programme for October: theatre, children's workshops, cinema, music and village fiestas. The full listing is at www.yaiza.es; here are the dates worth keeping.

The dates

• 2 to 4 October — Ritmos del Mundo, the multicultural festival in Playa Blanca's Plaza del Carmen: dance, music and food from different countries.
• 2 and 9 October — candle-making workshops.
• 4 October — Día del Rosario at Femés, with mass and procession.
• 9 and 30 October — sessions of 'Cuento Contigo', the storytelling project.
• 16 October — the play La Habitación, at the Casa de la Cultura Benito Pérez Armas.
• 23 October — A.F. Guanapay play the Fiestas de La Pardela in El Golfo.
• 28 and 30 October — soap-making workshops.
• 31 October — family cinema with The Secret of Kells.

And all month

Creative workshops for children in the municipality's cultural centres, and the start of the courses for the 2026/2027 year.
