Sunday at Parque de Maneje it is about staying on court: Rey de la Cancha and the KO tournament

On Sunday 4 October the Parque de Maneje in Arrecife fills with basketballs: two formats of streetball, one after the other.
6.30pm — Rey de la Cancha
'King of the court': one-on-one duels, and whoever wins stays on. Simple and merciless.
7.30pm — the KO tournament
This one is open to all ages, and the mechanics are the kind you learn in a park without anyone explaining them: players line up in front of the hoop. The first shoots. The moment the ball leaves their hands, the next player goes: if they score first, the player ahead is out. On it goes, faster and faster, until one is left.
It is the most democratic game there is: you do not need to dribble, you need to score under pressure.
