Teguise's 2027 Carnival theme is up to residents: voting is open until 2 October

The theme of Teguise's 2027 Carnival will not be chosen by the council but by residents. Until 2 October the vote is open at teguise.es, with four options.

The four candidates

"Tropicalia, sabor a Carnaval", "Latidos de África", "Steampunk, la fábrica del tiempo" and "Un Carnaval de locura, Teguise en el País de las Maravillas". The winner becomes the official allegory: the thread running through the imagery, the costumes, the floats and the decoration.

"We want residents to have a say from the earliest preparations and to decide what they will see in the streets next year," says mayor Olivia Duque. Festivities councillor Andoni Machín says the four were chosen because they are very different from one another and all offer plenty to work with.

The dates are already set

Costa Teguise and the Villa hold their main events from 15 to 21 February 2027; La Graciosa's carnival runs from 4 to 7 March.
