On Saturday the music moves to Argana Alta's square: a printing workshop and a sunset concert

On Saturday afternoon the Plaza de Argana Alta in Arrecife becomes a stage. It is another session of Naturaleza Sonora, and the council's intention is stated plainly: take events out of the centre and into the districts, instead of always concentrating them in the same four places. Culture councillor Abigail González backs the approach; the neighbourhood gains an evening.

6pm: printing

It opens with an express printmaking workshop run by the Ars Magna association. You take elements from the surroundings and turn them into printing blocks: no experience needed, and the materials are provided. It is open to all ages, but places are limited and registration is required.

7pm: singing

Then comes Bárbara Calypso, a Brazilian singer and multi-instrumentalist, with an intimate set built for the hour when the light drops.

It is not a festival, it is an afternoon in a square with good music: the kind of thing that keeps a neighbourhood alive far more than one big event a year.
