Kamezí, Lanzarote's Michelin star: the island in fourteen courses

For decades Lanzarote was the island where you ate good fish and not much else. In 2025 it earned the first Michelin star in its history, and it has a precise address: Kamezí, in Playa Blanca, inside the Kamezí Boutique Villas, with the Bocaina strait in front and Fuerteventura on the horizon.
Opened in 2019, in six years it has become the island's reference restaurant. In the kitchen is Rubén Cuesta, who sums up the idea like this: to reach modernity you first have to master tradition. The guide confirmed the star again for 2026, and there is a Repsol Sun as well.
What you eat
One route only, the Kamezí tasting menu: fourteen courses that reread Lanzarote's cooking with avant-garde tools, built mostly on the island's fish and seafood. Bread is baked in-house, produce is on display at the counter by the entrance, and the dining spaces open to the sky, clad in volcanic stone. The menu is €180; wine pairing €95.
Good to know
Dinner only, Tuesday to Saturday, 7pm to 10pm. Calle Mónaco 2, Playa Blanca. Book ahead: tables are few and in high season they go weeks in advance.
